Muḥammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us: Sufyān narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Abū Ḥāzim, from Abū Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) never criticized food. If he liked it, he ate it; otherwise, he left it. [Another chain:] Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah narrated to us: Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Abū Yaḥyā, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), with similar wording. Abū Bakr said: There is disagreement in its transmission; others report it from Abū Ḥāzim.
