Sunan Ibn Majah 3359
If a guest sees something bad, he should go back
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتَوَائِيِّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَصَنَعْتُ طَعَامًا فَدَعَوْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَجَاءَ فَرَأَى فِي الْبَيْتِ تَصَاوِيرَ فَرَجَعَ .
Translation
It wasnarrated that ‘Ali said
“I made some food and called theMessenger of Allah (ﷺ) (to come and eat). He came and saw someimages in the house, so he went back.”
