Sunan Ibn Majah 3232
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ . قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْ بِهَذَا حَتَّى دَخَلْتُ الشَّامَ .

Muḥammad ibn al-Ṣabbāḥ informed us: Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah informed us, from al-Zuhrī: Abū Idrīs told me, from Abū Thaʿlabah al-Khushanī, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited eating any predator with fangs. Al-Zuhrī said: I had not heard this until I entered Syria.
