Muḥammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us: Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar and ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī narrated to us; they said: Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Hishām ibn Zayd, from Anas ibn Mālik, who said: We passed by Marr al-Ẓahrān and startled a rabbit. The people chased it until they were exhausted. I ran after it until I caught it and brought it to Abū Ṭalḥah, who slaughtered it. He sent its hindquarters and haunch to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he accepted them.
