What was narrated concerning what is to be recited in the two Rak’ah before Fajr Sunan Ibn Majah 1149
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَادَةَ الْوَاسِطِيَّانِ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ رَمَقْتُ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ شَهْرًا فَكَانَيَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ {قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} وَ {قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ} .
Translation
It wasnarrated that Ibn ‘Umar said
“I watched the Prophet (ﷺ) foramonth, and in the two Rak’ah before Fajr he used to recite: “Say:Oyou disbelievers!” [Al-Kafirun (109)] and “Say: Allah is One.”[Al-Ikhlas (112)]
