Four Rak’ah before the Zuhr Sunan Ibn Majah 1156

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ قَابُوسَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ أَرْسَلَ أَبِي إِلَى عَائِشَةَ أَىُّ صَلاَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ أَنْ يُوَاظِبَ عَلَيْهَا؟ قَالَتْ:كَانَ يُصَلِّي أَرْبَعًا قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ. يُطِيلُ فِيهِنَّ الْقِيَامَ، وَيُحْسِنُ فِيهِنَّ الرُّكُوعَ وَالسُّجُودَ .
Translation
It wasnarrated from Qabus that his father said
“My father sent wordto‘Aishah, asking which prayer the Prophet (ﷺ) most liked toperform regularly. She said: ‘He used to perform four Rak’ahbeforethe Zuhr, in which he would stand for a long time and bow andprostrate perfectly.’”
