Sunan Ibn Majah 1267

Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us; Sufyan narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr, who said: I heard Abbad ibn Tamim narrating to my father from his paternal uncle that he had witnessed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) go out to the prayer ground to pray for rain. He faced the qiblah, turned his cloak around, and prayed two rak‘ahs. Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us; Sufyan informed us, from Yahya ibn Sa‘id, from Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Hazm, from Abbad ibn Tamim, from his paternal uncle, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), similarly. Sufyan said, from al-Mas‘udi: I asked Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn Amr, ‘Did he put its top at the bottom, or the right side over the left?’ He said, ‘No; rather, the right side over the left.’
