Sunan Ibn Majah 1275

Abu Kurayb narrated to us; Abu Mu‘awiyah narrated to us, from al-A‘mash, from Isma‘il ibn Raja, from his father, from Abu Sa‘id; and from Qays ibn Muslim, from Tariq ibn Shihab, from Abu Sa‘id, who said: On the day of Eid, Marwan brought out the pulpit and began with the sermon before the prayer. A man stood and said, ‘O Marwan, you have opposed the Sunnah: you brought out the pulpit on an Eid day, though it was not brought out then, and you began with the sermon before the prayer, though it was not begun with then.’ Abu Sa‘id said, ‘As for this man, he has discharged what was due from him. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever among you sees a wrong and is able to change it with his hand, let him change it with his hand. If he is unable, then with his tongue. If he is unable with his tongue, then with his heart; and that is the weakest of faith.’
