Sunan Ibn Majah 1279

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَثْمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ كَبَّرَ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ سَبْعًا فِي الأُولَى وَخَمْسًا فِي الآخِرَةِ .
Translation
Abu Masud Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Ubayd ibn Aqil narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Khalid ibn Athmah narrated to us; Kathir ibn Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Awf narrated to us, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said the takbir in the two Eid prayers: seven in the first and five in the last.
