What was narrated concerning how many times the Imam should say the Takbir in the Eid Prayers Sunan Ibn Majah 1280
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، وَعُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلمـ كَبَّرَ فِي الْفِطْرِ وَالأَضْحَى سَبْعًا وَخَمْسًا سِوَى تَكْبِيرَتَىِ الرُّكُوعِ .
Translation
It wasnarrated from ‘Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saidtheTakbir seven and five times in (the prayer for ‘Eid) Fitr andAdha,apart from the Takbir for Ruku’ (bowing).
