Sunan Ibn Majah 1289
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَحْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَوْمَ فِطْرٍ أَوْ أَضْحًى فَخَطَبَ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ قَعَدَ قَعْدَةً ثُمَّ قَامَ .
Translation
Yahya ibn Hakim narrated to us; Abu Bahr narrated to us; Ismail ibn Muslim narrated to us; Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out on the day of Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha and delivered a sermon standing. Then he sat for a sitting, then stood up.
