Sunan Ibn Majah 1308
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " أَخْرِجُوا الْعَوَاتِقَ وَذَوَاتِ الْخُدُورِ لِيَشْهَدْنَ الْعِيدَ وَدَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ . وَلِيَجْتَنِبَنَّ الْحُيَّضُ مُصَلَّى النَّاسِ " .
Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us; Sufyan informed us, from Ayyub, from Ibn Sirin, from Umm Atiyyah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Bring out the young women and those who remain in seclusion, so that they may attend the Eid and the Muslims’ supplication. Let the menstruating women avoid the prayer ground.’
