What was narrated concerning recitation in the (voluntary) night Prayers Sunan Ibn Majah 1353
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ عَنْ قِرَاءَةِ النَّبِيِّ، ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَكَانَ يَمُدُّ صَوْتَهُ مَدًّا .
Translation
It wasnarrated that Qatadah said; “I asked Anas bin Malik about therecitation of the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said
‘He used to elongatehisvoice.’”
