Sunan Ibn Majah 1409
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " لاَ تُشَدُّ الرِّحَالُ إِلاَّ إِلَى ثَلاَثَةِ مَسَاجِدَ مَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَمَسْجِدِي هَذَا وَالْمَسْجِدِ الأَقْصَى " .
Translation
Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us; Abd al-A‘la narrated to us, from Ma‘mar, from al-Zuhri, from Sa‘id ibn al-Musayyab, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Journeys are undertaken only to three mosques: al-Masjid al-Haram, this mosque of mine, and al-Masjid al-Aqsa.’
