حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، وَسُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلاَقَةَ، عَنْ قُطْبَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقْرَأُ فِي الصُّبْحِ {وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَهَا طَلْعٌ نَضِيدٌ } .

Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us: Sharik and Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn 'Ilaqah, from Qutbah ibn Malik, who heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting in the Fajr prayer: ‘And the tall palm trees, with their clustered fruit.’
