For how long may a traveler shorten his Prayer if he stays in a town? Sunan Ibn Majah 1074
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، وَقَرَأْتُهُ، عَلَيْهِ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ، حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، فِي أُنَاسٍ مَعِي قَالَقَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ مَكَّةَ صُبْحَ رَابِعَةٍ مَضَتْ مِنْ شَهْرِ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ .
Translation
‘Ata’narrated
“Jabir bin ‘Abdullah, who was among the people withme,told me that the Prophet (ﷺ) arrived in Makkah in the morning ofthe fourth day of Dhul-Hijjah.”
