Sunan Ibn Majah 1079
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبَالِسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " الْعَهْدُ الَّذِي بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمُ الصَّلاَةُ، فَمَنْ تَرَكَهَا فَقَدْ كَفَرَ " .
Translation
Ismail ibn Ibrahim al-Balisi narrated to us: Ali ibn al-Hasan ibn Shaqiq narrated to us: Husayn ibn Waqid narrated to us: Abdullah ibn Buraydah narrated to us, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah said: “The covenant between us and them is the prayer; whoever abandons it has disbelieved.”
