Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلاَلٍ الصَّوَّافُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتَوَائِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقْرَأُ بِنَا فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الأُولَيَيْنِ مِنْ صَلاَةِ الظُّهْرِ وَيُسْمِعُنَا الآيَةَ أَحْيَانًا .
Translation
Bishr ibn Hilal al-Sawwaf narrated to us: Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us: Hisham al-Dastawa'i narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from 'Abdullah ibn Abi Qatadah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite to us in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and would sometimes make a verse audible to us.
