What was narrated concerning the recitation in the Prayer on Friday Sunan Ibn Majah 1120
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزَّاهِرِيَّةِ، عَنْ أَبِي عِنَبَةَ الْخَوْلاَنِيِّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ كَانَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ بِـ {سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى} وَ {هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ} .
Translation
It wasnarrated from Abu ‘Inabah Al-Khawlani that the Prophet (ﷺ)usedto recite “Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High” and “Hasthere come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e., the Day ofResurrection)? [Al-A’la (87) and Al-Ghashiyah (88)] on Friday.
