What was narrated concerning sitting in circles on Fridays before the Prayer, and Ihtiba’ when the Imam is delivering the sermon Sunan Ibn Majah 1133
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، جَمِيعًا عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلمـ نَهَى أَنْ يُحَلَّقَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَبْلَ الصَّلاَةِ .
Translation
It wasnarrated from ‘Amr bin Shu’aib, from his father, from hisgrandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade sitting incircles in the mosque on Fridays before the prayer.
