حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " الْقِنْطَارُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفَ أُوقِيَّةٍ كُلُّ أُوقِيَّةٍ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ " . وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَتُرْفَعُ دَرَجَتُهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَيَقُولُ أَنَّى هَذَا فَيُقَالُ بِاسْتِغْفَارِ وَلَدِكَ لَكَ " .

It was narrated that Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah said: ‘Abd al-Samad ibn ‘Abd al-Warith narrated to us, from Hammad ibn Salamah, from ‘Asim, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “A qintar is twelve thousand uqiyyahs; each uqiyyah is better than all that lies between heaven and earth.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: “A man’s rank in Paradise will be raised, and he will ask, ‘How did this come about?’ He will be told, ‘By your child’s praying for forgiveness for you.’”’
