حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، حَدَّثَتْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ لَهَا " إِنَّ جِبْرَائِيلَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكِ السَّلاَمَ " . قَالَتْ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ .

It was narrated that Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah said: ‘Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Zakariyya, from al-Sha‘bi, from Abu Salamah, that ‘Aishah told him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: ‘Jibril sends you greetings of peace.’ She replied, ‘And upon him be peace and the mercy of Allah.’
