Sunan Ibn Majah 3702
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّدُوسِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيَنْحَنِي بَعْضُنَا لِبَعْضٍ قَالَ " لاَ " . قُلْنَا أَيُعَانِقُ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا قَالَ " لاَ وَلَكِنْ تَصَافَحُوا " .

It was narrated that ‘Ali ibn Muhammad said: Waki‘ narrated to us, from Jarir ibn Hazim, from Hanzalah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Sadusi, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: ‘We asked, “Messenger of Allah, should we bow to one another?” He replied, “No.” We asked, “Should we embrace one another?” He replied, “No, but shake hands with one another.”’
