It was narrated that Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah said: Abu Bakr ibn ‘Ayyash narrated to us, from Mughirah, from al-Harith, from ‘Abdullah ibn Nujayy, from ‘Ali, who said: ‘I had two times when I would visit the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): one at night and one during the day. When I came to him while he was praying, he would clear his throat to signal to me.’
