It was narrated that ‘Ali ibn Muhammad said: Waki‘ narrated to us, from ‘Ikrimah ibn ‘Ammar, from Iyas ibn Salamah ibn al-Akwa‘, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘The sneezer is to be given the invocation of mercy three times; if he sneezes more than that, he has a cold.’
