The rewards associated with the Quran Sunan Ibn Majah 3781
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " يَجِيءُ الْقُرْآنُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَالرَّجُلِ الشَّاحِبِ فَيَقُولُ أَنَا الَّذِي أَسْهَرْتُ لَيْلَكَ وَأَظْمَأْتُ نَهَارَكَ "
Translation
It was narrated from Ibn Buraidah that his father told that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said
"The Quran will come on the Day of Resurrection, like a pale man, and will say: 'I am the one that kept you awake at night and made you thirsty during the day."
