حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " لاَ يَبِيعُ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ " .

Suwayd ibn Said narrated to us; Malik ibn Anas narrated to us, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “None of you should make a sale over another’s sale.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " لاَ يَبِيعُ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ " .
The phrase prohibits interfering with a sale already being negotiated or concluded; it is rendered closely to the Arabic wording.
