Prohibition On Earnest Money Sunan Ibn Majah 2192
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ بَلَغَنِي عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـنَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْعُرْبَانِ .
Translation
It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, from his grandfather that
the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the deal involving earnest money .
