Muhammad ibn Umar ibn al-Hayyaj narrated to us; Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us; Ibrahim ibn Ismail informed us, from Taliq ibn Imran, from Abu Burdah, from Abu Musa, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed whoever separates a mother from her child or one brother from another.

The report names separation of a mother and child and of brothers; its immediate context concerns the division or sale of captives.

Does the literal wording preserve both kinship pairs without adding a captivity qualifier absent here?
