حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، وَالْحَجَّاجُ، وَالْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ كَانَ زَكَرِيَّا نَجَّارًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us; Muhammad ibn ʿAbdullah al-Khuzaʿi, al-Hajjaj, and al-Haytham ibn Jamil narrated to us; they said: Hammad narrated to us, from Thabit, from Abu Rafiʿ, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: ‘Zakariya was a carpenter.’
