Selling Animals For Animals On Credit Sunan Ibn Majah 2271
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، وَأَبُو خَالِدٍ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " لاَ بَأْسَ الْحَيَوَانُ بِالْحَيَوَانِ وَاحِدًا بِاثْنَيْنِ يَدًا بِيَدٍ " . وَكَرِهَهُ نَسِيئَةً .
Translation
It was narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said
"There is nothing wrong with selling animals, one for two, hand to hand," but he disliked selling them on credit.
