حَدَّثَنَا جُبَارَةُ بْنُ الْمُغَلِّسِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدًا، مِنْ رَقِيقِ الْخُمُسِ سَرَقَ مِنَ الْخُمُسِ فَرُفِعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَمْ يَقْطَعْهُ وَقَالَ " مَالُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ سَرَقَ بَعْضُهُ بَعْضًا " .

Jubarah ibn al-Mughallis narrated to us; Hajjaj ibn Tamim narrated to us, from Maymun ibn Mihran, from Ibn 'Abbas, that a slave from the fifth-share property stole from that same share. The matter was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but he did not cut off his hand. He said: Allah's property—one part of it stole from another part.
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The Arabic states that a slave from the khumus (one-fifth share) stole from the khumus; the English witness does not clearly express the repeated source term.
