Ali ibn Maymun al-Raqqi, Ayyub ibn Muhammad al-Wazzan, and Abdullah ibn Sa‘id reported to us; they said: Muammar ibn Sulayman reported to us: al-Hajjaj ibn Artah informed us, from Abd al-Jabbar ibn Wa’il, from his father: A woman was compelled during the time of the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace), and he waived the prescribed punishment for her and carried it out on the man who had forced himself upon her. The narrator did not mention that he assigned her a bridal payment.
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
