Sunan Ibn Majah 2601
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الأَشَجِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ نِيَارٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَقُولُ " لاَ يُجْلَدُ أَحَدٌ فَوْقَ عَشْرِ جَلَدَاتٍ إِلاَّ فِي حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ " .

Muhammad ibn Rumh informed us: al-Layth ibn Sad reported to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Bukayr ibn Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Jabir ibn Abdullah, from Abu Burdah ibn Niyar, that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to say, ‘No one is to be flogged more than ten lashes except for one of the prescribed limits set by Allah.’
