Covering (The Sin Of) The Believer And Warding Off Legal Punishments In The Case Of Doubt
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " ادْفَعُوا الْحُدُودَ مَا وَجَدْتُمْ لَهُ مَدْفَعًا "
Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said
“Ward off the legal punishments as much as you can.”
