Umm Atiyya al-Ansariyya reported: There was a woman in Medina who performed female circumcision. The Prophet ﷺ told her, “Do not cut severely, for that is more pleasing for the woman and more beloved to the husband.” Abu Dawud transmitted it and said, “This hadith is weak, and its narrator is unknown.”
