Mishkat al-Masabih 4476
Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " سَتُفْتَحُ لَكُمْ أَرْضُ الْعَجَمِ وَسَتَجِدُونَ فِيهَا بُيُوتًا يُقَالُ لَهَا: الْحَمَّامَاتُ فَلَا يَدْخُلَنَّهَا الرِّجَالُ إِلَّا بِالْأُزُرِ وَامْنَعُوهَا النِّسَاءَ إِلَّا مَرِيضَةً أَوْ نُفَسَاءَ ". رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Translation
Abdullah ibn Amr reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Persian lands will be opened to you, and you will find there houses called public baths. Men must not enter them except wearing waistcloths, and keep women out of them except when they are sick or postpartum.” Abu Dawud transmitted it.
