Arabic hadith text
وَعَن الوليدِ بن عقبةَ قَالَ: لَمَّا فَتَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّةَ جَعَلَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ يَأْتُونَهُ بصبيانهم فيدعو لَهُم بِالْبركَةِ وَيمْسَح رؤوسهم فَجِيءَ بِي إِلَيْهِ وَأَنَا مُخَلَّقٌ فَلَمْ يَمَسَّنِي من أجل الخَلوق. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Translation
Al-Walid ibn Uqba reported: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conquered Mecca, its people began bringing him their children so that he would pray for blessings for them and wipe their heads. I was brought to him with khaluq perfume on me, but he did not touch me because of it. Abu Dawud transmitted it.
