Yahya ibn Said reported that he heard Said ibn al-Musayyab say: Ibrahim, the close friend of the Most Merciful, was the first person to host a guest, the first to be circumcised, the first to trim his mustache, and the first to see gray hair. He said, “My Lord, what is this?” The Lord, Blessed and Exalted, replied, “Dignity, Ibrahim.” He said, “My Lord, increase me in dignity.” Malik transmitted it.
