Mishkat al-Masabih 4347
Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ تَشَبَّهَ بِقَوْمٍ فَهُوَ مِنْهُمْ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَأَبُو دَاوُد
Translation
He reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it.
