Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم إِن أَتَخَتَّمَ فِي إِصْبَعِي هَذِهِ أَوْ هَذِهِ قَالَ: فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَى الْوُسْطَى وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ
Translation
Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade me to wear a ring on this finger or this one, and he pointed to the middle finger and the one next to it. Muslim transmitted it.
