Mishkat al-Masabih 4406
Arabic hadith text
وَعَن مَالك قَالَ: أَنا أكره ن يُلْبَسَ الْغِلْمَانُ شَيْئًا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ لِأَنَّهُ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نهى عَن التختمِ بالذهبِ فَأَنا أكره لِلرِّجَالِ الْكَبِيرِ مِنْهُمْ وَالصَّغِيرِ. رَوَاهُ فِي الْمُوَطَّأِ
Translation
Malik said: I disapprove of boys wearing anything made of gold, because it has reached me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wearing gold rings. I therefore disapprove of it for men, whether they are adults or children. It is transmitted in al-Muwatta.
