Mishkat al-Masabih 5728
Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أُذِنَ لِي أَنْ أُحَدِّثَ عَنْ مَلَكٍ مِنْ مَلَائِكَةِ اللَّهِ مِنْ حَمَلَةِ الْعَرْشِ أَنَّ مَا بَيْنَ شحمة أُذُنَيْهِ إِلَى عَاتِقَيْهِ مَسِيرَةُ سَبْعِمِائَةِ عَامٍ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Translation
Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah reported that the Messenger of God said: ‘I have been permitted to speak about one of God’s angels, among the bearers of the Throne: the distance from the lobe of his ear to his shoulder is a journey of seven hundred years.’ Abu Dawud transmitted it.
