Translation
Ibn ‘Abbas reported that the Messenger of God said: ‘God created Israfil with his feet aligned, and he has not raised his gaze, from the day He created him. Between him and the Lord, Blessed and Exalted, are seventy veils of light; not one of those lights could he approach without being burned.’ Al-Tirmidhi transmitted it and graded it sahih.
