Abu al-‘Ala’ reported from Samurah ibn Jundub: We used to pass around a bowl with the Prophet ﷺ from morning until night. Ten would stand up and ten would sit down. We asked, ‘What kept replenishing it?’ He said, ‘Why are you surprised? It was replenished only from up there,’ and he pointed with his hand toward the sky. [Al-Tirmidhi and al-Darimi transmitted it]
