Translation

Abu Hurayrah reported: I brought some dates to the Prophet ﷺ and said, ‘Messenger of God, pray for blessing in them.’ He gathered them together and prayed for blessing over them for me. He said, ‘Take them and put them in your provision bag. Whenever you want to take some out, put your hand in and take them; do not pour them out.’ I carried from those dates such-and-such many wasqs in the path of God. We used to eat from them and feed others. They never left my waist until the day ‘Uthman was killed; then they were gone. [Al-Tirmidhi transmitted it]
