Translation

Usamah ibn Zayd reported that the Messenger of God ﷺ said, ‘Whoever attributes to me something I did not say, let him prepare his seat in the Fire.’ This was because he had sent a man on a mission, and the man lied about him. The Messenger of God ﷺ prayed against him, and he was found dead with his abdomen split open, and the earth would not accept him. [Al-Bayhaqi transmitted both reports in Dala’il al-Nubuwwah]
