Mishkat al-Masabih 5941

Jabir reported: A man came to the Messenger of God ﷺ asking for food, and he gave him half a wasq of barley. The man, his wife, and their guest kept eating from it until he measured it, whereupon it ran out. He came to the Prophet ﷺ, who said, ‘Had you not measured it, you would have continued eating from it, and it would have remained available to you.’ [Muslim transmitted it]
