Anas reported: When the Prophet ﷺ grew gravely ill, distress overwhelmed him. Fatimah said, ‘What distress, my father!’ He replied, ‘Your father will have no distress after today.’ When he died, she said, ‘O my father, he answered a Lord who called him! O my father, his abode is the Garden of Firdaws! O my father, we announce your death to Gabriel!’ When he was buried, Fatimah said, ‘Anas, were your hearts at ease as you cast earth over the Messenger of God ﷺ?’ [Al-Bukhari transmitted it]
