Mishkat al-Masabih 5978
Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ يَوْمٌ وَلَا يَرَانِي ثُمَّ لَأَنْ يَرَانِي أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ ومالهِ مَعَهم» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
Translation
Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: ‘By the One in whose hand is Muhammad’s soul, a day will surely come to one of you when he does not see me, and seeing me will be dearer to him than his family and all his wealth with them.’ [Muslim transmitted it]
